A new 'Minor dwelling' extension to an existing bungalow. With many extensions and alterations over the years, the existing seaside bungalow had a varied roofline and had lost its original clarity of form. This new addition provided a chance to simplify the external envelope, but also meant that we were able to define a new minor dwelling in a more contemporary way on a different road frontage. This enables the mass of the building from the street to be reduced and allows each dwelling to have their own unique identity.
